My entry to Minimalism
Minimalism, which was initially associated with a style of design and architecture has now spread to other aspects of life. It has become a lifestyle. Essentially, a minimalist lifestyle can be loosely defined as a way of living in which a person interacts with a lesser number of entities and keeps complexities out from his/her life. Whilst it can be argued that minimalist lifestyle has a broader meaning, the underlying word is “less”. This can be less number of items a person uses, less number of obligations that the person has and even less number of acquaintances a person interacts with.
I have been trying for a while to incorporate minimalism into my life. It has started as a means of saving money. However, sometimes being frugal and being minimalist is not the same thing. Being minimalist can be very expensive. I always wanted to simplify things in my life. The lesser the stuff you have, the lesser you will be worrying about.
I cannot say that I am completely a minimalist as having less stuff can be expensive sometimes. However, I’m always striving for minimalist life one step at a time.
